Union Grove High School is proud to share that junior Evan Henderson has been selected to serve on the Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association (WIAA) Student-Athlete Leadership Team.
The WIAA Student-Athlete Leadership Team is made up of student leaders from across the state who demonstrate excellence both on and off the field. Through a rigorous application and interview process, Evan was chosen for his athletic ability, leadership skills, and dedication to representing his peers.
Over the next two years, Evan will serve as a liaison between Union Grove High School and the WIAA. His responsibilities will include:
Attending WIAA Area Meetings on behalf of his district
Participating in Zoom and in-person leadership meetings in Stevens Point
Assisting in planning the annual WIAA Student Leadership Conference
Attending state championship events across multiple sports seasons
This opportunity will allow Evan to strengthen his leadership skills, learn more about the sports industry, and contribute to shaping the future of high school athletics in Wisconsin.
“Evan’s selection highlights his outstanding leadership and commitment to his school and community,” said WIAA Assistant Director LeVar Ridgeway. “We look forward to seeing the positive impact he will make as part of the Student-Athlete Leadership Team.”
Union Grove High School congratulates Evan on this well-deserved recognition and looks forward to supporting him as he represents UGHS at the state level.
