Alumni Spotlight

Union Grove High School is proud to celebrate alumna Kassidy Wilks, Class of 2012, who was recently inducted into the Furman Paladins Athletics Hall of Fame for her outstanding collegiate volleyball career.

Wilks played volleyball at Union Grove High School from 2008 to 2011 as a setter and remains one of the most accomplished players in program history. She still holds the school record with 3,031 career assists, a testament to her leadership, consistency, and skill on the court.

After graduating from Union Grove, Wilks continued her volleyball career at Furman University, where she became one of the most decorated setters in Southern Conference history. A three time All Southern Conference selection, she helped lead the Paladins to the 2014 Southern Conference regular season championship and the 2015 Southern Conference tournament title. Her performance in the 2015 tournament earned her Most Valuable Player honors and helped Furman advance to the NCAA Tournament.

Wilks concluded her Furman career as the program’s all time leader in assists with 5,216 and helped guide the Paladins to an impressive 85 wins over four seasons. She also earned numerous academic honors, including the Furman Student Athlete Achievement Award and a Southern Conference postgraduate scholarship. See Wilks' accolades on the Furman Athletics Hall of Fame webpage.

Following her athletic and academic success at Furman, Wilks earned a master’s degree in public health from Emory University and currently works as a strategy manager at Deloitte Consulting.

Union Grove High School congratulates Kassidy Wilks on this well deserved honor and thanks her for being an outstanding representative of Bronco athletics on and off the court.
