Underwater robotics team

Engineering students designed and built robots for the Seaperch underwater robotics competition in March. We had two teams who placed 1st and 2nd, “PVC Space Pirates” and “Team Leviathan” respectively. The theme of this year’s competition was space, and was held at Deer Creek Intermediate School in St. Francis. Teams compete in a visual display and presentation, as well as remotely controlling their robot through underwater challenges. Our winning teams have been invited to the 2022 International Seaperch Challenge in Maryland this June.

We are thankful for the businesses who sponsored our teams: Coleman Tool, First Call Heating & Cooling, American Metalcraft, BSW Electric, Zoomlion, and the Army National Guard. Our robotics program is lead by our engineering teacher, Mr. Wolbach. Any students interested in robotics should contact Mr. Wolbach.
