Softball Team Wins Regionals
Our Softball team is Regional Champs after their win against Muskego 6-3. They will continue on to Sectionals at Oak Creek on Tuesday, May 31st at 5pm.
Boys Golf Win First Regional Title Since 1986
Congratulations to the boys golf team and Coach Swanson on their regional title at Ives Grove on May 24, 2022. The golfers competing were Simon Graham, WIll Klaus, Jacob Brown, Nathan Beutel, and Caden Eichner. This is the first regional title for the boys golf program since 1986. The boys will compete at the sectional next Tuesday at Wanaki Golf Course for a chance to go to state.
Baseball Team Wins Conference
Baseball Wins Conference for the third straight year. The team beat Westosha 11-2 to win the Conference outright. Baseball will begin postseason play at home against Indian Trail Academy on Tuesday, May 31st at 4:30pm.
Girls Soccer Team Wins Conference
The girls soccer team defeated Elkhorn 4-1 on the road on Thursday (5/19) to clinch the Southern Lakes Conference championship with a 6-0-1 record in 2022. The Broncos have won 3 of the last 4 conference titles (excluding the cancelled 2020 season) and earned a #2 seed in the upcoming WIAA state playoffs (beginning Tuesday 5/31). Senior captains Paige Cotton and Samantha Fleischman have led the team both on and off the field. Cotton is UG's leading scorer with 27 goals and 12 assists so far in '22, while sophomore Julia James (20 goals, 5 assists) and junior Lexi Pettit (12 goals, 11 assists) have been major factors offensively. On the other end of the field, freshman Rhyan Hood and junior Sophia Rampulla have anchored a stout Bronco defense who've given up just 9 goals all season, helping sophomore goalkeeper Makayla Mackiewicz to 12 shutouts. The Broncos start just 2 seniors in '22, so look for continued spring soccer success into 2023.
