The Golf Coaches Association of Wisconsin is pleased to announce that the following student-athletes from Union Grove have been recognized as 2025 Academic All-State honorees:

Aubrey Young
Chelsea Haertel
Abigail Waterworth
Students are submitted by member coaches of the GCAW and must meet the following criteria to be considered for this great award:
The student-athlete must have a cumulative GPA of 3.25 or higher
The student-athlete must have participated in at least 75% of their team's varsity competitions during the 2025 season
The student-athlete must be in good standing regarding athletic and school codes of conduct at their participating schools
The student-athlete must be either a sophomore, junior, or senior
The GCAW is proud to announce that 521 students from 128 different high schools have been honored this year. The average GPA of these students is an exceptional 3.834.
The GCAW was formed by high school golf coaches in 1986 to help build and enhance Wisconsin's reputation for developing quality junior players by promoting golf in our schools and communities.

Our very own DJ Fox, a former Union Grove High School standout, has just reached the pinnacle of college football. As a junior offensive lineman for the University of Wisconsin-River Falls, DJ helped lead the Falcons to their first-ever NCAA Division III National Championship!
The Falcons secured the title on January 4, 2026, with a gritty 24-14 victory over the defending champions, North Central College, in the Stagg Bowl.

Today we celebrate and congratulate Patti Halbach on her well-earned retirement! 🎉
Today was Patti’s last day after an incredible 28 years of dedicated service to Union Grove High School. As the Administrative Assistant to the Principal, Patti has been the steady hand and organized core of our school for so many years. Her professionalism, kindness, and commitment to our students and staff have made a lasting impact on the entire Bronco community.

Congratulations to Edmund Burrow on a great showing at the Wisconsin High Schools eSports Association Fall State Championship. Eddie qualified for the 1v1 Super Smash Bros tournament, earning an invitation as one of the top 64 players from the fall season. He competed hard and finished tied for 13th place. Interior Design students applying design principles through the Shoebox Challenge!



Last week, we hosted the UG Area Chamber's Leadership Union Grove class for a day all about education! They learned about UGHS and got into great dialogue with leaders from our local schools for a principal panel. They also tested their knowledge in a game in the style of "Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader!"

SALT (Student-Athlete Leadership Team) was at the Southern Lakes Conference Leadership Summit at the Veteran's Terrace today. They listened to a guest speaker, Derek Deprey, and collaborated with students from other schools in our conference.
