Fourteen of our AP Biology students had an incredible opportunity to showcase their research at the Student Research Conference hosted by UW-Milwaukee on Tuesday! 🎓🔬
Their posters were on display throughout the conference, where they presented their work to fellow students, explored other research projects, and gained insights from inspirational speakers and student researchers.
👏 Special shoutout to Max Bergemann, Ethan Barsch, Nolan Schwaab, and Tyler Hagen for earning special recognition for their work! Their achievement earned them certificates and the honor of having their poster featured in the online journal. Way to go, Broncos! 🧠🌟

📣 We’re excited to welcome Mr. Tom Blair as the next Principal of Union Grove High School! 🎉
Mr. Blair currently serves as the Principal of School Safety & Culture at Bristol School and previously served as Associate Principal at Wilmot Union High School. He brings a wealth of experience and a passion for student success to our Bronco community.
🗣️ When asked what excites him most about joining UGHS, he shared:
“What really excites me about this opportunity is being part of a community that truly cares about every student... 🧬 DNA to the ceiling? Challenge accepted!
Our Biology students just kicked off their DNA unit by building models using K’NEX kits. One creative group took it a step further—literally—and stacked four DNA molecules high enough to reach the ceiling!

From Sunday, April 6 through Tuesday, April 8, ten UGHS HOSA Chapter members traveled to the Kalahari Resort and Conference Center to represent UGHS at the HOSA State Leadership Conference. The students participated in competitions, took tests on various biotechnology topics, attended breakout sessions, and visited booths from various universities and medical centers at the expo. Union Grove High School was one of four schools (out of over 200) recognized for partnering with a blood donation center and hosting blood drives. We were also recognized for chapter membership growth this year (56 members!). Individually, Samantha Geiss was recognized for being a top scorer in an Organic Chemistry exam. All students represented Union Grove High School with utmost professionalism and pride. They networked and made friends with other chapters and of course....enjoyed the water park! It was a very rewarding and fun experience and we are already excited to plan for next year!! Thank you to co-advisors of Aleid van der Zel & Trish Commodore.
We are incredibly proud to announce that Camden Rugg has been named to the Wisconsin Wrestling Coaches Association All-Academic First Team, and Evan Petrick has received Honorable Mention! 🎉 This outstanding achievement highlights their dedication and commitment to excellence, both on the wrestling mat and in the classroom.
