WIAA 11-PLAYER FOOTBALL PLAYOFF REVEAL SHOW AIRS SATURDAY
STEVENS POINT, Wis. – The Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association will announce the 11-player 2026 football playoff qualifying field and pairings during a one-hour live program Saturday, Oct. 17, on WIAA State Tournament Network stations, their websites and on the WIAA Sports Live app.
The network stations and affiliates airing the show at 10 a.m. include WKOW 27.2 in Madison, WAOW 9.2 in Wausau, WQOW 18.2 in Eau Claire, and WXOW 19.2 in La Crosse, as well as affiliate EVTV 24.1 in Milwaukee.
WKOW Sports Director Karl Winter and WAOW Sports Director Dylan Eckhart will serve as the hosts of the show with commentary by high school football analyst Travis Wilson.
There will be 224 teams qualifying in seven divisions for the 11-player post-season with four playoff rounds prior to the State Finals. There are 354 programs eligible to participate in the 11-player football playoffs this season.
The State Finals will be played Thursday and Friday, Nov. 19-20, at Camp Randall Stadium in Madison. All the championship games will be aired and streamed live on the network stations and websites.
Complete brackets and the Level 1 schedule of games will be available on the WIAA website and social media platforms immediately following the announcement of the pairings at 11 a.m.
The program will be produced by the WIAA State Tournament Network.
Driven by its vision of inspiring champions for life, the WIAA is a private, voluntary and unincorporated nonprofit organization as defined by its Constitution. The membership oversees interscholastic athletic programs for 516 senior high schools and 26 junior high/middle-level schools. The WIAA sponsors 30 State championship events for boys and girls. Our first choir concert of the year, "Disney Dreams" will be on Tuesday, October 13th at 6:00pm in the UG Performance Center. The concert will feature music from Disney's Aladdin, Hercules, Tangled, and more! This is a free concert that is perfect for the whole family to enjoy. From Youth Apprentice to Full-Time Welder!
Colin began as a Youth Apprentice in the Welding pathway, completing his Youth Apprenticeship with Southport Mechanical. During his senior year, he also completed the Welding high school academy through Gateway Technical College, gaining valuable hands-on skills and experience.
Upon graduation, his hard work and dedication paid off—he was hired as a full-time welder at Southport Mechanical! 🔥⚙️

We are proud to celebrate the outstanding accomplishments of our AP students and teachers! 🎓
Last school year, 82% of our AP students earned a score of 3 or higher on at least one AP exam, up from 79% . Additionally, 84% of all AP exams earned a score of 3 or higher, up from 80%.
With 222 students completing 392 AP exams and 62 students earning AP Scholar designations, these results reflect the hard work, preparation, and dedication of our students and the teachers who support them.
